I have a blueberry pie from Whole Foods waiting for me. That is the best I can do. *sigh*

It's 85 degrees here ... but the ripe-to-bursting cherries I got at the farmers' market yesterday wouldn't wait. I made a cherry pie and threw in a few blueberries from my bush. I don't have enough for a cobbler yet.

But you KNOW I will document it for you when the time comes!

Cherry pie might be even better . . . so long as it's the sour kind.

Okay, this is really torture. But you know I look forward to it!

Ours aren't quite ripe yet... we're still on black raspberries...
Happy 4th to you too!

Hi there! I know you say that people can add you without saying why, but I try to make a habit of introducing myself when I add people, so . . . well, actually, it's not the most exciting explanation ever, but: I found you through halseanderson and liked your "read banned books" icon. Then I checked out your userinfo, and you seem pretty readable.

Hi and welcome.

I do aim for 'readable.'

Plus, you have a Calvin & Hobbes icon, so I automatically find you reassuring.

I should probably aim for it more than I do.

And cool beans; I like most of your icons, too.

I can't believe you're baking in this heat.
You shoud definitely get a Betty Crocker award, or some such recognition. I call for a moratorium on baking during the summer months. But, your pie sure smells good. Luckily I have no seasonal rules on eating baked goods. Enjoy!

Re: I can't believe you're baking in this heat.
But this is when stuff ripens!

I do draw the line at *shudder* canning. Now THAT looks like hell. No, I mean the very picture of Hell: stirring vats of boiling sticky stuff in 90-degree heat while you sweat through your clothes and risk third degree burns.

And OMG, you should taste this cherry pie. Mmmbphh ...
